We know that mental health problems are not rare; we are among people suffering with mental health issues in all areas of our life. How can we, as people who want to share God’s love with our friends and family, reach out and help when an individual is facing a mental health challenge?
Mental Health First Aid is an evidence-based training that teaches the signs of mental health or substance use challenges, how to offer and give help, and how to guide a person to care if needed. St. Paul’s is hosting this professionally-led training on Saturday, Oct. 12 from 9 a.m. -5 p.m. in the Youth Wing. Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina is underwriting the costs of materials for the course; registration fee of $20 covers lunch. We have thirty spots available for this initial training; sign up online in advance. Contact Celia Hartnett for more information.
