Worship. Serve. Grow.

Confirmation is a sacramental rite of The Episcopal Church in which adults and young adults affirm the covenant made on their behalf in baptism. Classes are offered every year and led by the clergy; there are separate classes for adults and youth. One of the bishops from the diocese visits annually for the celebration of Confirmation, Reception, and Reaffirmation of Baptismal Vows.

Our next official visit from the diocese is scheduled for February 23, 2025, when the Rt. Rev. Jennifer Brooke-Davidson, assistant bishop, will celebrate with us.

Adults are invited to take part in a one-day Confirmation and Inquirers’ Retreat on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025 (9 a.m. – 2 p.m.) that will take place at St. Paul’s. This retreat is for those who wish to be confirmed or received in The Episcopal Church, as well as those who simply wish to grow deeper in their understanding of the Christian faith and Episcopal tradition.

Youth confirmation classes (9th grade and up) are designed for those who would like to be confirmed and those who would like to explore confirmation. Classes will be held at St. Paul’s on Sundays from 10:10-11 a.m. on Jan. 26, Feb. 2, and Feb. 9.

Please contact the church office (stpauls@stpaulscary.org) if you have any questions about confirmation or these educational offerings.
