Wheels4Hope is a non-profit, faith-based car donation program that turns donated cars into local blessings throughout the Triangle and Triad areas of North Carolina. Our mission is to provide safe, reliable, affordable vehicles to people who need them. Qualified recipients are referred to us by our Partner Agencies. The vehicles are donated by area residents, and restored to sound mechanical condition by our sponsors.
The typical value of the vehicles provided is $3,000-$8,000. Recipients pay $500 for their vehicle and are responsible for insurance, title and transfer fees. Wheels4Hope stands behind each program car with a 6-month warranty.
To support this mission, Wheels4Hope also sells low-cost cars to the general public. They take cash donations to fund the purchase of any parts the program cars may require, to pay for and maintain the facilities, and to pay staff salaries.
St. Paul’s supports Wheels4Hope in many ways. Members donate vehicles and volunteer to repair and rehab the donated cars. Recently, a refugee family supported by St. Paul’s refugee ministry were the fortunate recipients on a Wheels4Hope car. With that vehicle, the family was able to get to jobs and doctor’s appointments. It helped them become self-supporting members of our community.
