Join us Wednesdays (starting June 17) from 7-8 p.m. on Zoom for a discussion of “Sermon on the Mount” by Amy-Jill Levine. Using historical and theological contexts, Dr. Levine brings Jewish tradition to some of Jesus’ most profound and memorable teachings.
Dr. Levine “describes herself as an unorthodox member of an Orthodox synagogue and a Yankee Jewish feminist who until 2021 taught New Testament in a Christian divinity school in the buckle of the Bible Belt.” Her writings are often humorous as well as self-revealing.
Sessions will run for 9 weeks through the summer. If you are interested in being part of this group, please email Gerri Batchelor at gerrikairos@gmail.com.
