All St. Paul’s parishioners are invited to join our Pre-EYC families for a morning of sweet potato gleaning at a local farm!
Gleaning is a meaningful way to care for creation, enjoy fellowship, and help feed our neighbors in need. Together, we’ll gather leftover sweet potatoes that farmers are unable to sell. All that we collect will be donated to local food banks for distribution. As we serve others and care for the earth, we’ll also enjoy a morning of fun, fresh air, and community connection.
Because the farm location is finalized the day before the event, we’ll send out details and directions on Friday, October 10th for our gathering on Saturday, October 11th. Please sign up using the online form so we can keep you updated and assist with carpooling arrangements.
Helpful notes before you go:
- Wear comfortable shoes (rain boots are a great option) and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.
- Bathrooms are not available on-site, but there will be a convenience store nearby.
- Bring water and consider bringing gloves if you’d like extra protection while collecting potatoes.
We hope you’ll join us for this joyful opportunity to serve others, care for God’s creation, and grow together in community! Questions? Contact Shannon Robinson at shannon3b@gmail.com.
