Each year during Lent, we support the work of the Episcopal Farmworker Ministry (EFWM) on Hermano Day. Representatives from EFWM will be with us on Sunday, Mar. 22, our 29th celebration of this day.
This year, EFWM is requesting donations of men’s underwear, socks, and work clothing; items can be placed in the collection box in the narthex. Monetary donations are also appreciated – donate online or bring checks; you must put “Hermano Day/EFWM” in the comment section.
EFWM offers many services and programs to the community. In addition to working with Latino migrant workers (from other states and abroad), they also work with Latino agricultural workers who live in NC year-round, including workers from meat processing plants, nurseries, packing houses, animal farms, and field workers.
