Mental Health Panel Discussion

The Resilience Ministry at St. Paul’s has invited local mental health professionals to a panel discussion on Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 5 – 7 p.m. in the Parish Hall. The discussion will include ideas on how we as a faith community can support our youth’s mental health and will be moderated by the Rev. Alice Graham Grant, Associate Rector for Children’s and Youth Formation.

Diocesan Mental Health Awareness Day

Mental health, especially the health of our youth, is something to which we should all pay attention. To that end, the Diocese of North Carolina Committee on Children & Youth Mental Health is sponsoring an in-person workshop to learn how churches can support wellness efforts. This event will take place at St. Francis Episcopal Church in Greensboro on August 19, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Summer Enrichment Program – CRITICAL NEED FOR VOLUNTEERS

The Kirk of Kildaire Presbyterian Church provides enrichment programming and healthy meals for families in need in our local community during the break from traditional school. St. Paul’s partners with other Cary congregations (Cary Presbyterian Church, Greenwood Forest Baptist Church and the Kirk of Kildaire) to provide volunteers.  We’ve gotten word that there has been a high demand for the program with over 75 elementary children, 18 youth, and 20 preschoolers registered.  That’s good news! But right now, they don’t have the number of volunteers that are needed.

Look for the Pinwheel Garden in mid-April

The sparkling blue and silver Pinwheel Garden in the front circle at St. Paul’s is being “planted” by the children this week to remind us that all children deserve a bright future. The Resilience Ministry sponsors this garden each year to mark National Child Abuse Prevention Month in April.
