The Appalachian Service Project team (ASP) returned from Virginia last Saturday, and the full vans emptied as families reunited with their hard-working volunteers. The Kirk of Kildaire Presbyterian Church provides enrichment programming and healthy meals for families in need in our local community during the break from traditional school. St. Paul’s partners with other Cary congregations (Cary Presbyterian Church, Greenwood Forest Baptist Church and the Kirk of Kildaire) to provide volunteers. We’ve gotten word that there has been a high demand for the program with over 75 elementary children, 18 youth, and 20 preschoolers registered. That’s good news! But right now, they don’t have the number of volunteers that are needed.
