In this week’s Hope for the Journey, Mother Alice reflects on the story of Lazarus: “Recently I’ve been touched by the story of the raising of Lazarus, which pays particular attention to Jesus’ grief and loss over his friend.”
Farmworkers from Mexico will soon be arriving on farms located just an hour from Cary. These men live in remote labor camps and arrive with the barest of necessities. The Coronavirus has added to the long list of issues that farmworkers already face: sub-poverty wages, substandard housing, and isolation from family and friends.
A memorial service will be held for Martha Ford Waters on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Church. Martha’s family will also be receiving visitors at a celebration of her life on Thursday, February 24 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Herb Young Center in Cary. Here is Martha’s obituary…
