We have entered ordinary time, the days in the church year that are not taken up by the major seasons and feasts, be it Advent, Christmas, Lent, or Easter. The stories we encounter in the lectionary, therefore, will focus on the moments in between: between the peaks and valleys of the story of the Jewish people, and in the daily moments Jesus spent with his disciples.
