ASP 2016 – PLEASE BE OUR GUEST FOR LUNCH today at 12:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall. The St. Paul’s Appalachia Service Project crew will hold a Sharing Luncheon for the parish. This is a chance for those who went on ASP this summer to say “thank you” to everyone at St. Paul’s for their support. Come meet the volunteers, hear about their experiences. RSVPs are not required but would be appreciated. Please email alanaloughlin@bellsouth.net with the number who will be attending.

ASP FALL CHORE DAY: Calling all youth patrons! Have a job at home that needs to get done? The youth of St. Paul’s are offering their services to raise money to go on Appalachia Service Project (ASP) Mission Trip this year in North Carolina! The ASP chore day will take place on Saturday, November 5, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. To sign up for a work crew, contact Susannah Vitaglione at susannahv@gmail.com or 919-619-5103. SECOND CHANCE PROM: The St. Paul’s Youth Fundraising Team is hosting a dance for all parishioners on Friday, October 21, from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall. Adult parishioners and guests, please join us for a fun trip down memory lane. The dance will have a “Blast from the Past” theme and will raise funds for the youth mission trips. COFFEE HOUR MINISTRY HIGHLIGHTS: There is no Coffee Hour this Sunday due to a re-scheduled STOP HUNGER NOW packing event in the Parish Hall. Next week the Arts and Crafts Festival for Outreach will be hosting Coffee Hour. The November 12th Festival will feature many local artisans, a coffee bar and bake sale, food trucks, and more. Proceeds from this event will benefit numerous outreach ministries at St. Paul’s.

CAN’T REMEMBER A NAME? Name badges help put names and faces together. And, sometimes we all need a little help with that! If you have a name badge, please try to remember to wear it. If you need a new or replacement name badge, simply fill out an envelope found on the small desk in the narthex. Your new name badge will appear in the same place in a week or so.

THE GODO MINISTRY will hold a workday on Saturday, October 22nd. We will be working with Family Promise of Wake County (formerly Wake Interfaith Hospitality Network). Along with rotating shelters in local churches, Family Promise offers apartment-type living for families as the next step toward more stable, permanent housing. The plan is to work from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. Any amount of time will be appreciated. Please sign up at www.SignUpGenius.com/go/10C0D4DAEA82BA1FC1-family or email Kevin Swann at swann.kev@gmail.com.

MOMS will be held on Tuesday, October 18, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the Youth Wing. This is a gathering of mothers of high school juniors and seniors and college freshman (and those that have already crossed those bridges!). Join us for discussion and support. Contact Katie Bricio at katiebricio13@gmail.com with questions.

CALLING ALL VETERANS – Let us thank you for your service. If you have served or currently serve in the U.S. military, St. Paul’s would like to recognize you on November 13, the Sunday after Veterans Day, by listing your name, branch of service, and rank at separation in a special insert in the bulletin. Please email that information to nicole.griffin@gmail.com no later than November 3 to ensure that you are included.

In addition, our outreach ministry working on supporting our veterans is in need of some additional volunteers. If you would like to help shape this ministry and plan projects, please email Nicole at the address above and let her know of your interest. Prior military service is not required to become involved.

STAY AT HOME-PARENTS GROUP: Come join us on Monday mornings at 9:30 a.m. in the Kids’ Club for some relaxed free play for kids and socializing for adults! Don’t miss your chance to get to know fellow St. Paul’s church and preschool families. Contact Cecilia Lancia at cecilialancia@gmail.com or Amy Borbet at aborbet@gmail.com for details.

WHEELS4HOPE CAR BLESSING: Join us today at 10:00 a.m. for a Wheels4Hope Car Blessing with a new owner helped by St. Paul’s donations. Gather with Wheels4Hope staff and volunteers to bless a car on its way with its new owner. Come learn what a vehicle means to a recipient who has a job, but no convenient way to get there. See the impact St. Paul’s makes through its sponsorship and through vehicle donations by our parishioners, and learn how you can get involved. For more information, please visit www.wheels4hope.org or email Mike Sweeney at mas223@ymail.com.
