We are delighted to announce those who have agreed to serve our parish as the Search Committee for our next rector. Committee members have been approved by our vestry and have accepted the invitation to take on this important role. The committee members are:
- Lanny Wase (co-chair)
- Aleta McClenney (co-chair)
- Rick Bradley
- Tim Buckley
- Kay Burgess
- Bill Bystrynski
- John Goehrke (vestry)
- Carrie Hess (vestry)
- Mike Krannitz
- Barb Magee
- Ramsey McIntire
- Glenda Swann (vestry)
We are deeply grateful to all who expressed an interest in the committee; far more people were considered than could be asked to serve. We were humbled by the level of interest.
With the committee’s appointment, the search moves into the next phase – seeking input from the parish so that we can prepare a portfolio of information about St. Paul’s for rector candidates. Your participation is crucial, and we hope you will join us for either of two listening sessions led by our diocesan transition ministry officer, the Rev. Marion Sprott.
Please register in advance for either Wednesday, May 14 at 7 p.m. or Sunday, May 18 at 12:30. Both will take place in the parish hall, and a light lunch will be provided at the Sunday session.
For those not available in May, we will have several smaller listening sessions throughout June as well as an online survey option. Details about those will be announced soon.
We are committed to keeping you informed as the process moves forward through the Transition page on the website and through the weekly parish newsletter. Please keep an eye out for updates.
Finally, we ask for your prayers throughout this process and in this exciting new season for St. Paul’s. Whenever you pray, we hope the work of the Search Committee will be included.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at rectorsearch@stpaulscary.org.
Blessings of Eastertide,
Lanny Wase and Aleta McClenney, Search Committee Co-chairs
