What’s up with the rector search? We’re glad you asked!
The process continues, but perhaps not as visibly as with this summer’s multiple listening sessions. Here’s where we are and where we’re headed:
- The application process is now in the hands of the diocese. Our profile has been shared throughout the larger Episcopal Church including here, here and here. It will also be shared in gatherings of transitional ministry officers across the country.
- We will know nothing about candidates until after the application process closes on September 30. Once we do, the next steps are totally confidential. We won’t be able to share anything about those who have applied for obvious reasons.
- In the meantime, the committee is hard at work! We have meetings scheduled throughout the weeks ahead to prepare for interviews so that we can do the best job possible on behalf of St. Paul’s.
- In addition, the information collected through the listening sessions is already at work in the life of our parish and will be used to help us prepare for our interviews. We didn’t put it on a shelf after the profile was completed – your input about our shared faith community lives on.
