Carol taught elementary music in Wake County Public Schools for thirty-one years after graduation from Meredith College in 1972. She studied organ with Dr. David Lynch and has been an organist in area churches for many years. Carol has been active in numerous musical and arts organizations including the N.C. Master Chorale, United Arts of Wake County, and the American Guild of Organists.
After serving as substitute organist at St. Paul’s for several months, Carol was pleased to join the staff in May 2023. She resides in Wendell and has two adult sons and two grandchildren. Her husband was the late Gene D. Yeargin who was also a music educator and school administrator before his death in 1998.
