All Aboard! Diaper Train Drive Starts October 19

St. Paul’s is hosting a diaper drive for Diaper Train!

For more than 10 years, Diaper Train has been committed to improving the lives of children and families in Wake County by providing direct access to diapers, ultimately working to end diaper poverty. A diaper CAN change a life and we are excited for you to be part of that change! Alongside diapers and wipes, each family receives one book per child, aiming to increase access to early childhood literacy. By addressing both essential needs and educational resources, Diaper Train helps foster healthier and brighter futures for families in our community.

We are collecting all size diapers, but the more frequently needed sizes are 4,5,6 and pull-ups; you can also donate wipes and new or gently used board books. Bring your donations to the collection box in the narthex from Oct. 19 through Nov. 9. Learn all about it in this flyer.

Did you know?

  • One in two families will have to make the difficult decision between purchasing food or diapers.
  • Hygiene items such as diapers are classified as “luxury items” and not covered by federal programs such as SNAP or WIC.
  • Daycares cannot accept a child who doesn’t have a supply of diapers, leading to an average of 5 work days a month missed by caregivers

Please help us make a difference for families who are struggling to cover basic needs for their children! Questions? Contact Susannah Vitaglione.
