Hermano (Farmworker) Day (Mar 18, 2018)

Sunday, March 18, 2018 is Hermano Day (Farmworker Day).  Representatives from the Episcopal Farmworker Ministry will be here to tell us about the work being done to help our farmworker brothers in Christ.  St. Paul’s helps by donating work clothes and bedding and by offering financial support.  Please bring your donations to church that day.  Continue reading for more and to see what donations are needed.

Refuge for Refugees Assigned New Family

The St. Paul’s Refuge for Refugees ministry has been assigned a new family, arriving in late February, 2018.  This family is from Afghanistan and has six family members.  More information will be forthcoming.  Contact Mike Harrell at harrell@manningfulton.com, or MM Cupitt at mmcc.ltc@gmail.com.

St. Nicholas Day (Dec 10, 2017)

Saint Nicholas will make his annual visit to St. Paul’s during the 9:00 and 11:15 AM services on Sunday, December 10, 2017.  Our tradition has been to provide gifts to children served by these ministries and organizations: Children of Migrant Farm Workers, The Healing Place, West Haven, and Families Together.  Continue reading.

MLK, Jr. Dreamfest (Jan 11-15, 2018)

The 2018 Town of Cary MLK Jr. Dreamfest will commemorate the work and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and will span from Thursday, January 11 through Monday, January 15.  Activities are planned for people of all ages and faiths—the Cary Area Ministerial Alliance (CAMA) has been involved in the planning process. Refuge for Refugees (R4R) Adult Formation (Jan 7, 2018)

If you are interested in “hands on” outreach, come to the Adult Forum on Sunday, January 7, 2018 to learn how St. Paul’s supports refugee resettlement.  Hear from R4R Committee members about the 3 families we currently support, and the plans to welcome a new family in 2018.  Remember – Jesus was once a refugee.
