We have another opportunity to give thanks for our many blessings by giving back to those around the world suffering from hunger by participating in a Meal Packaging Event with Rise Against Hunger (RAH), honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy (originally scheduled for MLK weekend).
We are excited to announce that St. Paul’s Youth is planning to resume our annual mission trip to serve families in Appalachia! We are doing so after a careful internal review of both Diocese and Parish recommendations, and specific Covid-19 protocols will be in place for all participants in order to maintain safety.
Farmworkers from Mexico will soon be arriving on farms located just an hour from Cary. These men live in remote labor camps and arrive with the barest of necessities. The Coronavirus has added to the long list of issues that farmworkers already face: sub-poverty wages, substandard housing, and isolation from family and friends.
