Worship. Serve. Grow.

June is Gun Violence Awareness Month

June is recognized as Gun Violence Awareness Month, and people are encouraged to wear orange to raise awareness. Orange pins and ribbons are available in the narthex for anyone who wishes to wear them.

The Episcopal Diocese of NC is hosting two events for those who wish to learn more about–and engage with–the issues surrounding gun violence in America.

BOOK STUDY  Thursdays beginning June 4, 12-1 p.m. on Zoom

The diocesan Gun Violence Prevention Task Force is hosting a diocesan-wide book study of God and Guns: The Bible Against American Gun Culture (C.L. Crouch and Christopher B. Hays). A collection of essays from noted scholars, the book looks at gun culture from a biblical studies perspective. Register here.
