Do you have a good idea for the use of St. Paul’s endowment funds? In 2024, the St. Paul’s Endowment will again fund projects that fulfill the mission of our church, beyond our operating budget. This year, the Vestry expects to distribute $14,259 in funds from the Endowment in the following categories: $11,610 from the General Fund, $1,256 from the Outreach Fund, $1,066 from the Grounds Fund and $327 from the Kids’ Club Fund.
Created in 2009, generous donors to the Endowment (known as the St. Paul’s Legacy Society) have made a significant difference in funding projects in our community. Over the years, investment income from this fund was approved for the following:
- Lobby furnishings and sound panels for the Parish Hall
- Commercial refrigerator for remodeled kitchen
- Donations for outreach such as Christmas Shoppe at Family Promise, the Pauli Murray Center for History and Social Justice, Episcopal Farmworkers Ministry, Johnson Service Corp, Racial Equity Institute Training
- New play structure and rocking chair for Kids’ Club
- New plantings and lighting in the Courtyard
- AED training for Ushers and Preschool teachers
- Columbarium expansion
- Laptops for staff
If you have an idea for how we might use these funds for a one-time project or as seed money for something new, please let us know! The Endowment Committee works with the Vestry on making sure projects are in keeping with goals of the funds, and we are happy to advise you in making a request. Submit your grant requests using the form found at this link by April 19, 2024, or email Kay Burgess (kay.burgess9396@gmail.com) with your ideas or questions.
