Visiting Eucharistic Ministers

Receiving communion is a meaningful part of our religious experience in The Episcopal Church. If injury or illness keeps you from attending church in person, Visiting Eucharistic Ministers (VEMs) are available to bring communion to you wherever you are (home, hospital or other facility) on a short- or long-term basis. VEMs carry the parish with them as a sign of the community’s support and care, that we “although many” continue to be “one Body in Christ.” Please call the church office at 919-467-1477 if such a need arises in your life.

St. Paul’s is in need of more VEMs as our needs have increased recently. In addition to bringing communion, volunteers are present to those whom they visit, willing to spend time and just listen. If you would like to serve the parish in this way, or you would like to learn more about this ministry, please contact our deacon, Candy Snively, at candy.snively@att.net.
