Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Alice grew up as a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Brooklyn Heights. She studied studio art at Davidson College, and, after a brief career in art and finance, Alice was sponsored for ordination by St. Titus’ Episcopal Church in Durham and completed her Master’s in Divinity at Duke.
Alice is married to Benjamin, who works for the North Carolina Audubon Society. They have two young children and share their home with one extra-large, floppy dog named Thumper.
