Food Drive sponsored by Rainbow Gathering (Jun 20, 2020)

Rainbow Gathering will be collecting canned food and essential items to help the homeless LGBTQ community in Raleigh NC. This event will be held on Saturday June 20, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in the parking lot of St. Paul’s. All items collected will be donated to the outreach program at St. John’s Metropolitan Community Church in Raleigh.  Continue reading for items needed.

Amid the unrest of Covid-19, the St. Paul’s Care and Share leadership team has continued working behind the scenes to support those within our parish community who are especially vulnerable – while carefully observing social distancing.

Wheels4Hope: What’s Happening

We’ve asked ministry leaders to “Let Us Know What’s Happening” during this “stay at home” time.  Here, Wheels4Hope tells us that they are functioning on a limited basis to provide transportation to those in need….

Meals on Wheels: What’s Happening

Our Meals on Wheels Ministry is much more active since the “stay at home” went into effect. The Wake County Board of Commissioners has deemed Meals on Wheels an essential service to the community. Many of our St. Paul’s volunteers who regularly served once each month are now serving every week….

Resilience: COVID-19 Parents and Caregivers Guide

St. Paul’s is a pilot congregation in the Prevent Child Abuse NC (PCANC) initiative called Connections Matter (CM).  PCANC is very aware of the increased stresses individuals of all ages and families are facing during school closures and stay at home orders – even if the family hasn’t experienced job loss or had worries about providing adequate food or housing….

The Resilience Ministry at St. Paul’s is committed to increasing awareness of the potential for adversity to impact our physical and emotional health not only while it is occurring, but in the years ahead. No one can doubt that the current Covid-19 pandemic presents such adversity, whether or not we, or our loved ones, become sick. Continue reading for more.
