Welcoming the Weldon Family

The Rev. Jay Weldon will officially begin his ministry with us on April 15, and we are excited about all that lies ahead!

Our parish family is preparing a warm and joy‑filled welcome for Fr. Jay, Alison, Ella and James.  Over the next few weeks, we’ll be engaging in several acts of hospitality to help them feel at home and to introduce them to the life of our community.  Below are ways you can join the welcome activities:

  • Stock the Pantry– Donate non-perishables to help stock the Weldon’s pantry – and for NeighborUp’s Easter Food Drive. Items for both “pantry stockings” may be placed in boxes in the Narthex from April 6 to May 3.  Click here for suggested items.
  • Meal Train– Provide a meal for the Weldon’s as they settle in.  Click here to sign up for a date between April 23 and May 10.  Please pay attention to information in the sign-up genius on food allergies and delivery instructions.
  • Helping Hands –There are several ways to help the Weldon’s as they prepare their new home and move in!  Click here to sign up to be helping hands for things between April 16 and early May.
  • Welcome basket– Have a favorite restaurant, shop, activity or hidden gem to recommend?  Grab a “Welcome note” from the credenza in the Narthex, fill out your recommendation and drop it in the welcome basket.  Feel free to drop in a gift card for the Weldon’s to one of your favorite places!  Gift cards will be accepted until April 19.
  • At Your Service – Have a skill, talent, or side hustle to share?  Drop your contact information or business card to share with the Weldon family into the Welcome basket by April 19.  Add a note to let them know how you can help.
  • Welcome Coffee Hour – Come join a special coffee hour to welcome Fr. Jay and his family in the parish hall on April 26. Click here to sign up to help with the coffee hour.
