We, the clergy of St. Paul’s, are writing in light of yet another school shooting, this time in Uvalde, Texas. This one follows the massacres in Buffalo, NY and Laguna Woods, CA last week. Like many of you, we are filled with grief for the lives lost and for the families who mourn them. Our hearts go out to the many communities torn apart by such acts of wanton violence.
The first book in our summer program will be Nadia Bolz-Weber’s Pastrix: The Cranky, Beautiful Faith of a Sinner & Saint. This theological memoir highlights the vulnerability and spiritual growth of a remarkable woman. Her humor, wisdom, and salty, often lyrical prose make this an engrossing book.
Thank you to the donors who came out and donated blood at our May 18 blood drive that was co-sponsored with our neighbors Cary Presbyterian! With your help, we were able to exceed our goal of 27 units of blood donated!
